Boston Magic ✨✨✨ Where every cobblestone whispers opportunity and every skyline shouts innovation.
We are on our way from Boston to New York mid way through our third AwakenHub & AwakenAngels Trade Mission to the USA.
The last two days in Boston have been packed with high-impact events designed to showcase Irish women founders and connect them with potential investors and partners as well as encourage Irish connected people to consider investing in Irish women founded companies with global ambition to scale.

🌅Founders landed in Boston on Sunday and had an early morning official Day 1 start on Monday with an Angel Investment Masterclass in downtown Boston hosted by Invest Northern Ireland with a wide cross-section of Irish diaspora and Irish connected people interested in learning more about angel investing as an asset class with the view to supporting Irish women founders looking to seek investment.
Meet the Founders
🎤 Founders from 11 counties across the island of Ireland pitched their businesses to attendees, highlighting the level of innovation in women-founded Irish scaling companies.
US Trade Mission 2025
🤝Throughout the day, founders scheduled one to one meetings with prospective investors, clients and partners from industry, innovation hubs and academia.
🏛️The evening agenda included a prestigious Founders Showcase hosted by British Consul General David Clay MBE in his British’s private Boston residence including a special appearance from Joe Kennedy III, former United States Special Envoy to Northern Ireland for Economic Affairs with pitches from our full delegation to a room full of investors, VC’s and innovation partners.
🍷📍 For those who were unable to join us across the day we finished up with networking drinks in the The Dubliner with Boston Irish Association, Mna Mheiricea and Irish American Partnership.
Day 2 of our AwakenHub & AwakenAngels Trade Mission in Boston started with Office Hours to regroup and follow up on connections made on Monday.
Sighle Fitzgerald, Irish Consul General to Boston hosted us for lunch with a select group of invitees from across the Irish business community including Cathryn Ellis and Enterprise Ireland.
We are so grateful to the Department of Foreign Affairs for their support this year and getting precious time to sit down with Sighle is a unique and impactful opportunity for our founders to share stories, aspirations and inspiring companies they are building, many which have or will have a positive impact on society.
The second half of the day included an Investor Panel with Marty Loughlin, Mary McKenna, Gabrielle McCarthy of Underscore VC followed by our Founder Showcase pitches from Clare Ryan, Sandra Healy, Sarah-Marie Rust, Orla McDonnell, Sheelagh Brady, Mary, Angela Wilson, Shana Chu to investors, VC’s and interested parties who are keen to support and be involved with innovative and impactful companies from across Ireland.
With thanks to Department of Foreign Affairs, Emigrant Support Programme, Invest Northern Ireland and Irish American Partnership for their support in making this Trade Mission Possible.
