AwakenHubbers Take to the Stage

Not exactly in the manner ye might be expecting. But 10 AwakenClub members were lucky enough to spend a half day learing Theatre Skills for Leadership and Business on the magnificient and historical Abbey Theatre Stage this week. The incredible Andrea Ainsworth, Voice Director and all around superstar led the group through a series of exercises, tips and practical implementable tools to help our women founders own the stage and take this with them into meetings, pitches, presentations, client calls and life in general.

So much was gained in terms of confidence, specific bespoke and subtle changes each founder could implement based on their own style, physicality and personality to allow them to land their messages, drive forward their stories and keep those in their midst engaged.

Some of the things the Abbey Theatre Skills for Business & Leadership workshop covered include:

• Psycho-physicality - Breathing and effectively use your breath and your physicality to manage nerves and become a more confident speaker.

• Developing a more dynamic and compelling communication style through effective use of your voice.

• Improving engagement with your audience.

• Strengthening your voice and communicate with greater impact.

• Building greater ease and versatility in your physicality, to enhance your personal presence.
